PSB 2009

PSB takes place during Hawaii's peak travel season; hence, travel and hotel reservations should be made early to ensure availability.

PSB 2009 will be held at the Fairmont Orchid, Kohala Coast, Big Island, Hawaii. KOA is the nearest airport.

Please note that computers will not be provided for Internet access. A wireless network will be provided for participants' use with their personal laptops and external wireless cards (if needed).

Travel

Air Travel Information

PSB has arranged for discounts on air travel through American Airlines. For reservations call 1-800-433-1790 (7 days/week 6am-midnight CT), please reference meeting code: A2819AN.

The Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) is the closest airport to the conference site.

Car Rental Discounts
PSB has arranged for special car rental rates with unlimited mileage with Avis. For reservations call 1-800-331-1600, or click on the Avis logo , please reference the Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number D004951. Click here for a PDF of Avis's meeting rates.

Travel Support
We have been able to offer partial travel support to many PSB attendees in the past, including most authors of accepted full papers who request support and many graduate students. However, please note that no one is guaranteed travel support.

All rates are exclusive of applicable state and local taxes and are subject to availability; please make your reservation by November 15, 2008.

If you are interested in finding a roommate, please email psb.hawaii @ gmail.com with your registration code #, lodging dates, gender, and other roommate preferences. The PSB coordinator will then put you in touch with other participants who are looking for roommates.

Parking

For hotel guests, self-parking is $9.00/day (please note that the hotel was able to give a discounted rate on self-parking); valet is $21/day.

For non-hotel guests, parking is complimentary with validated parking tickets for PSB participants. Tickets may be validated at the bell desk. Insert the validated ticket into the ticket machine at the parking exit gate.
