 PSB 2014

PSB takes place during Hawaii's peak travel season; hence, travel and hotel reservations should be made early to ensure availability.

PSB 2014 will be held at the Fairmont Orchid, Kohala Coast, Big Island, Hawaii. KOA is the nearest airport.

Please note that computers will not be provided for Internet access. A wireless network will be provided for participants' use with their personal laptops and external wireless cards (if needed).

Transportation

Air Travel Information
PSB is currently negotiating for special rates on air travel. Please check back.

The Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) is the closest airport to the conference site.

Car Rental Discounts
PSB has arranged for special car rental rates with Hertz. Please provide the CV# 04LK0004 when making your reservation.

Lodging
PSB has arranged for conference rates at the Fairmont Orchid.

The PSB group rate is valid January 2-9, 2014. Please call the hotel directly at 1 (808) 885-2000 for rates and availability outside these dates.

Hotel Parking
For hotel guests, self-parking is $15.00/day; the current valet parking rate applies.

For non-hotel guests, parking is complimentary with validatation. Tickets may be validated at the bell desk.

Travel Support

We have been able to offer partial travel support to many PSB attendees in the past, including most authors of accepted full papers who request support and many graduate students. However, please note that no one is guaranteed travel support. Travel support applications will be available online on August 1.
All rates are exclusive of applicable state and local taxes and are subject to availability; please make your reservation by November 30, 2013 (the PSB hotel block does sell out, so we encourage you to make your reservations early). The PSB group rate is valid January 2-9, 2014. Please contact the PSB Coordinator at psb.hawaii @ gmail.com if you have any problems getting the group rate.

Please note that the Fairmont offers complimentary in-room Internet access to members of its complimentary loyalty program, please see https://www.fairmont.com/fpc/ for more information. Membership must be activated prior to your arrival at the hotel.

If you are interested in finding a roommate, please email psb.hawaii @ gmail.com with your lodging dates, gender, and other roommate preferences. The PSB coordinator will then put you in touch with other participants who are looking for roommates. Please note that if you plan to share a room at the Fairmont, the reservation must include both guests' names for check-in.
