PSB 2001 Tutorials

This year, the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing is offering tutorials in many areas relevant in Bioinformatics and Biocomputing. These tutorials are intended to provide the background necessary for non-specialists to appreciate the papers presented at the conference and in the literature. Each tutorial will last for three hours, and handout materials will be provided. We have scheduled the tutorials so that it is possible to attend up to three of them:

Wednesday morning, January 3, 9am-noon:

Data Analysis Tools for DNA Microarray data

Predictive Methods Using RNA Sequences

Wednesday afternoon, 2pm-5pm:

Genetic Networks Analysis - The Millennium Opening Version

Python for Structural Bioinformatics

Wednesday evening, 7pm-10pm:

High Performance Technical Computing

Information Extraction from Scientific Texts

The regular fees for tutorials are:

One tutorial: $80
Two tutorials: $120
Three tutorials: $160

Student/Post-doc fees are $20/tutorial.
Tutorial notes will also be available at $20 per tutorial.
