PSB ’22 Workshop on Genomic and Synthetic Biology Digital Biosecurity

Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing - Jan 3-7 2022

Fairmont Orchid Resort, Kohala Coast

The principal objective of this workshop is to bring together a core set of researchers around the topics of data, operational, and cybersecurity in genomics, omics and synthetic biology. The format of this workshop will be a group of talks around the topics of 1) genomic data protection, 2) security in synthetic biology automation, 3) the security of deep learning in decision making. We believe that now is a particularly important time to begin bringing together a community to research digital biosecurity.

Call for Abstract Submissions

We solicit talks addressing genomic resilience - spanning semantic data protection and secure data sharing, security in synthetic biology automation (secure and reliable), application of ML-based models in prediction and decision-making (e.g., early detection of data tampering), security assessments and other related topics. This workshop is geared toward getting ahead of security issues in the growing automated bioeconomy.
