PSB '99 Tutorials

This year, the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing is offering tutorials in the areas of many of its sessions. These tutorials are intended to provide the background necessary for non-specialists to appreciate the papers presented in the sessions. Each tutorial will last for three hours, and handout materials will be provided. We have scheduled the tutorials so that it is possible to attend up to three of them:

Monday morning, January 4, 9am-noon:

Computer Modeling in Physiology: From Cell to Tissue

Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery in Molecular Databases

Monday afternoon, 2pm-5pm:

Gene Expression and Genetic Networks

Disorder in Protein Structure and Function

Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 2pm-5pm:

Information Theoretic Approaches to Biology

Computer-Aided Drug Design

The regular fees for tutorials are:

One tutorial: $80
Two tutorials: $120
Three tutorials: $160

Student/Post-doc fees are $20/tutorial.
Tutorial notes will also be available at $20 per tutorial.
